this is for
we were paired up for 's Christmas Art Exchange 2007 this year and he asked for something along the lines of "sci-fi, fantasy and some macabre stuff" so I sorta winged it from there.

I really wanted to do something a bit different from what I normally draw, so I browsed Shnek's gallery for some ideas and saw this image [link] in his scraps section and it got me to thinking... Trying to create a striking image as well, I wanted to use both positive and negative space for the image. And too, cross the line a bit as well with the streaky blackness at the edges (which was planned when I realized that my marker was dying and thought it would give a neat type of atmosphere to the piece).

media: 5 x 8 recycled drawing paper, micron pen, prismacolor marker, and another black marker that I can't remember the name of, and a white-out pen so I could sign it

oh, and the reason it's called C25? Well, I could be all symbolic and such, saying that it was for 'Christmas on the 25th of December' and all, but really... the circle above... I used a quarter to trace the circle in the upper right hand corner and the name sorta stuck...
